A device for extracting fluid from a cavity. In its basic form it comprises a hollow flexible bulb attached (using a valve system) to a tube inserted into the cavity. Another valve leads to the discharge tube. One use of an evacuator is to empty the urinary bladder of extraneous material during surgery for removal of CALCULI or for PROSTATECTOMY.
