ATHETOSIS

Athetosis is the name for slow, involuntary writhing and repeated movements of the face, tongue, hands and feet, caused by disease of the brain. It is usually a manifestation of CEREBRAL PALSY. Drugs used to treat PARKINSONISM can also cause athetosis.
