ACEBUTOLOL

Written by

One of the BETA-ADRENOCEPTOR-BLOCKING DRUGS (beta blockers) used to treat HYPERTENSION and ANGINA. Like other beta blockers, it slows the heart rate and may precipitate heart failure, so should not be given to patients with incipient heart failure. Acebutolol can be used with caution in patients whose heart failure is satisfactorily controlled.
